Elbury Hill Reservoir

Hi everyone,

So, there's been a fair amount of progress on site at the water tower since our last update. Firstly, all the sections previously cut away from the tower and stored within, have now been lifted to ground level and removed from site for recycling.  Focus then turned back to the continued demolition of the tank and the removal of the remaining external walls using the gas axe. These were swiftly removed and have been lifted to ground level, leaving operatives only the base of the water tank, left on top of the tower. The tank base, has been removed today [Monday], in 2 sections weighing roughly 2 tonnes each. This leaves only the supporting legs and service pipework, which is scheduled to be removed through this week.
