Elbury Hill Reservoir

Following the recent bad weather, we have now carried out compaction tests on the stone crane pad, and I am happy to report positive results. This has allowed us to bring the crane to site and begin the demolition of the water tower. Operatives will be lifted in a crane basket and begin by removing sections of the tank using a gas axe. The sections will initially be lowered  into the tank itself whilst removing each layer, and subsiquently will be lowered from the tower into skip wagons and removed from site.
